The fragments of cerebellum show scattered eosinophilic neurons but no further reactive changes which typically reflects early hypoxia/ischemia which has stopped in time after loss of brain perfusion. In some cases etat glace appearance occurs reflecting in in vivo autolysis. (H&E)
