Case 7 History ---- A 43-year-old woman with a past medical history of HIV was found in asystole and without spontaneous breathing by the nursing staff. 9 minutes after starting CPR, she regained heart rhythm. Her neurological exam 3 days later reported nonreactive pupils, no dolls eyes, corneal or gag reflexes and no motor response. Her family decided to withdraw care 2 days after this. ---- 7A1 Even at this magnification neurons in Ammon’s horn are hard to resolve other than those in the dentate gyrus (H&E)
