1A2,3 On multiple coronal sections, there are bilateral defects in the cerebral hemispheres characterized by two porencephalic cysts with a direct and wide communication between the lateral ventricular system and the subarachnoid space. The cerebral grey matter in the areas of the porencephalic cysts is malformed and disorganized with surrounding polymicrogyria and heterotopias.
