Case 24 History ---- The patient is a 42-year-old African American man with a history of diabetes, a foot ulcer, a non-healing osteomyelitis wound on his right foot and recent MRSA bacteremia with endocarditis. He presented to the hospital after a fall complicated by subarachnoid hemorrhage. During his hospital course, he had endocarditis related to MRSA bacteremia, developed subarachnoid hemorrhage and multiple cerebral and cerebellar lesions and passed away. ---- 24A1,2 Multiple hyperintense lesions are seen in this T2 FLAIR examination. The first image shows a number of lesions at the gray/white junction and, in image #24A2, shows involvement of adjacent cerebral cortex and white matter.
