Case 21 History ---- The patient was an 89 year old woman with a history of hypertension, iron-deficient anemia, chronic back pain, and pulmonary embolism. She was diagnosed in February 2009 with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and was status post axillary dissection and radiation therapy. Also in 2009 the patient suffered permanent left arm weakness due to a right frontal lobe infarct. In April 2010, she suffered a left cerebellar infarct. The patient had a tentative clinical diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease which was established at autopsy. The immediate events leading up to her death are not available in the medical record.
