Case 8 History ---- The patient is a 73 year old man with a long (not precisely defined but more than a few years) history of an infarct involving the right PICA distribution in the posterior inferior cerebellum and dorsal lateral medulla. Involvement of the PICA may produce Wallenberg syndrome, usual medullary symptoms of which include nausea and vomiting, dysphagia, and hiccups. ---- This cystic infarct involves the distribution of the right posterior inferior cerebellar artery (PICA)
