Washington University Experience | VASCULAR | Infarct - Subacute | 20A Infarct, subacute (Case 20A)
The patient was a 73 year old man with a past history of TIAs and acute onset of confusion, aphasia and right upper extremity weakness. He had another similar event while in the hospital and he deteriorated, dying approximately 6 weeks after his first infarct. At autopsy he had subacute infarct of the left MCA territory and basis pontis bilaterally.
