Washington University Experience | VASCULAR | Intravascular Papillary Endothelial Hyperplasia (Masson Tumor) | 1A0 Case 1 History
Case 1 History ---- The patient is a 2 year-old girl. Six months prior to admission, she developed a swelling in her left temporal region which had apparently developed without injury and was increasing in size. She was referred to our hospital for evaluation of the lesion, which was thought to be a vascular malformation. MRI (not available) revealed a normal brain and an enhancing left scalp lesion that was superficial to the temporal muscle and measured 1.3 x 1.0 x 0.6 cm. The mass was resected.
