Cases 5,6,7 & 8 were part of the late James S. Nelson’s published SCD autopsy study (Rothman et al. 1986; Ann Neurol 20:684-690, 1986). ---- Case 5 History: Only minimal history exists: the patient was an 18 year old African-American man who had multiple arterial lesions in ACA, MCA and PCA watersheds and cerebellum, basal ganglia and thalamus with basilar and vertebral artery stenosis. ---- 5A1 The right sided ACA/MCA watershed is substantially involved compared to the right.
