The H&E appearance of the deep vessels in the subcortical white matter in the cerebellum resemble congophilic (amyloid) angiopathy which involves the leptomeningeal vessels in this case. Although there are vessels with amyloid in this case, they do not involve the deeper white matter or vessel walls. Of course, they could participate in creation of the ischemic milieu (BAP 10D5 IHC)
