7C1,2 The hippocampus stained for beta-amyloid (7C1) and PHF (7C2) fails to demonstrate amyloid diffuse or neuritic plaques. There are pretangles/tangles in this case but little else compelling for a diagnosis of AD dementia by current schema. Other stains failed to show cortical or brainstem Lewy bodies.
