Case 29 History ---- The patient was a 69 year old man with a past medical history significant for hypertension, obstructive sleep apnea on CPAP, osteoarthritis, tobacco smoking, and prediabetes mellitus without neurologic signs or symptoms. Routine autopsy demonstrated a small area of discoloration in the basis pontis. ---- 29A1 A whole mount of the pons at this magnification shows little evidence of pathology. (H&E)
