At autopsy the weight of the unfixed brain was 1250g. ---- 2A1 The gross appearance of the brain was normal. Coronal sections of the cerebral hemispheres reveal a normal cortical ribbon, underlying white matter, basal ganglia and thalamus. The ventricular system has a normal configuration and is lined by smooth, glistening ependyma.
