Case 4 History ---- The patient is a 74 year old woman who suffers from severe throbbing frontal headaches with clinical suspicion for temporal arteritis. Operative procedure: Left temporal artery biopsy. ---- Multiple segments of the left temporal artery biopsy show a giant cell arteritis in which the severity of the arteritis varies from region to region in the artery.
